We honor the craftsmanship of fine wood furniture BY offering quality repairs that blend seamlessly AND RESTORING life into forgotten treasures for use in generations to come.
Our Beginnings
Established in 2009.
Fine Wood Repair established its reputation with a focus on mobile-onsite repairs. Its founder, Lee Haywood, drew on a decade of experience in building, repairing and refinishing to embark on a solo-venture. He was a man with a van and a keen eye for color matching. It wasn’t long before his reputation grew and FWR became one of the most trusted and sought after mobile repair services in Austin.
In 2018, Fine Wood Repair expanded by opening a full service shop to provide complete repair and refinishing services. FWR runs with a small team of highly skilled craftspeople dedicated to the restoration and refinishing of fine wood furnishings.
As an exciting addition to expert repair and refinishing services, Fine Wood Repair has launched its Vintage Retail virtual shop. Focusing on a curated selection of fine wood furnishing including mid century modern designs, they find quality pieces of furniture and bring them back to life. Many of the pieces they rescue would be land-fill bound if not for their restoration knowledge and eye for quality.
